Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Controls Engineer to design control loops for bidirectional AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion hardware. Join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge home energy innovation.Responsibilities
  • Design control loops for bidirectional AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion hardware.
  • Develop complex products as a power electronics controls engineer for North American grid-tied applications.
  • Create digital control systems for grid-tied inverters, rectifiers, and DC/DC converters using microcontroller platforms.
  • Apply modeling and simulation-aided analysis for control loop design using tools such as PLECS.
  • Ensure compliance with V2G and G2V related regulations in North America concerning grid interactive power converters.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in power electronics controls engineering or a related role.
  • Bidirectional inverter design experience for North American grid-tied applications.
  • Strong understanding of power converter theory and design.
  • Experience developing digital control systems for grid-tied inverters, rectifiers, and DC/DC converters using microcontroller platforms.
  • Working knowledge of V2G and G2V regulations in North America.
  • Proficiency in using PLECS for modeling and simulation-aided analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Firmware development experience.
  • Advanced skills in power design.
