District Office - Position - OtherJob Number 8600041568Start DateOpen Date 09/02/2025Closing Date 09/15/2025The Coordinator of Disproportionality & Intervention leads the development and administration of the Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CCEIS) program to address disproportionality in the identification, placement and discipline of students with disabilities based on race or ethnicity. This position works closely with school leadership teams, district offices, and state partners to identify the root causes of disproportionality and guide the implementation of strategic solutions in targeted schools, ensuring alignment with district priorities and state and federal requirements. The Coordinator also oversees data analysis, professional development, and implementation of evidence-based intervention strategies that foster inclusive educational environments and support the success of all students.Essential Functions
Oversee CCEIS program plans, timelines, and budgets through effective management of direct reports and collaboration with program leads to achieve outcomes.
Collaborate with school leadership teams and district staff to design and implement evidence-based practices that address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
Provide professional development and technical assistance to build school capacity in identifying root causes of disproportionality, strengthening Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and using progress monitoring to drive continuous improvement.
Establish and lead progress monitoring systems to track implementation fidelity of CCEIS strategies in targeted schools. Analyze and report data on student outcomes, ensuring interventions are effectively reducing disproportionality and addressing root causes.
Share updates and reports with school teams, district leaders, and state partners through meetings, presentations, and written reports.
Liaise with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to provide programmatic and fiscal plan updates, ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.

Master's degree in education, special education, or a related field required.
Maryland State Department of Education Advanced Professional Certificate with Administrator I endorsement in an appropriate subject area.
Five years of successful school-level experience with two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Strong leadership skills with experience with leading and developing direct reports by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and fostering professional growth.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple deliverables, including budget oversight, timelines, and outcome reporting.
Ability to see the big picture, understand how school and district systems connect, and design solutions that address root causes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing reports, delivering presentations, and engaging diverse stakeholders such as school staff, district leaders, and state agencies.
Proven ability to collect, analyze, and interpret student outcome data to monitor program implementation and guide data-informed decision making.
Experience leading cross-functional teams, facilitating professional learning sessions, and building partnerships with educators, administrators, and community stakeholders.
Strong understanding of curriculum, instruction, and assessment for general and special education programs, interventions, and use of the MTSS process
Knowledge of current trends and effective practices regarding socio-emotional learning, preferred
Knowledge of local, state, and federal special education regulations
Prior experience managing compliance, fiscal accountability, and required reporting for grants or programs, preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
