The MA will conduct patient interviews, measure vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), obtain EKG and records information on patients' Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and prepare treatment rooms for the appointment.
The MA will also answer the phone and return voicemails for patients calling into the clinic and transcribe these messages to the provider(s) and nurse(s) they were intended for.
The MA may also perform administrative tasks by registering and scheduling patients for appointments, procedures, etc. using the various registrations and scheduling systems.
The MA collects/records patients’ medical history, reconciles medications, and acquires patient vital signs.
The MA advises patients regarding treatment, medication, and specific physician instructions.
The MA will collect lab samples and complete necessitated documentation for submission to lab.
The MA will assist with scheduling when able or tasked. The MA will greet all patients/customers in professional and courteous manner upon arrival at clinic.
MAs register and check-out patients, collect payments, issue receipts, and verify insurance coverage.
Perform other duties as needed.
