Job Description:Parallel Employment is actively seeking a Purchasing Manager for a Buffalo company. This role is essential in ensuring that operations run smoothly by acquiring goods and services that meet both quality and cost-effective standards. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with various internal teams and external suppliers to optimize purchasing strategies and inventory management.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pmPay Rate $23-$28/hr DOEResponsibilities:
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies and budgets that align with company goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for favorable terms and pricing.
  • Monitor inventory levels and make purchasing decisions based on demand forecasts.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to track orders, deliveries, and stock levels.
  • Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate with production and sales teams to align inventory with operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in purchasing practices.
  • Utilize data to improve procurement processes and reduce costs.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities and supply chain performance.
Requirements:Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in international purchasing within the supply chain sector.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
