
Sterile Filter Operator - Night Shift

- Efficiently operate all sterile filtration processing equipment
- Collect and deliver all required samples to the laboratory
- Monitor operation of equipment and make adjustments to produce top quality products
- Fill trays and buckets with product, palletize and store in freezer
- Take inventory of product, follow FIFO and production priority for running product
- Trouble shoots equipment to improve and maintain operating efficiencies
- Assist with training people and/or other operators
- Maintain standard work and one right way in the area, help, evaluate, improve and update Standard Operating Procedures when possible
- Take readings and fill out equipment log sheets
- Helps clean the interior & exterior of the plant
- Monitor & Report all product spills, safety hazards, and equipment problems
- Take an active role in team participation i.e. HACCP, Food Safety etc
- Safe Chemical handling for performing CIP, COP, sanitation and sterilization of equipment, supplies and process
- Keep work area sanitary and uncluttered.
- Assist in keeping SF area stocked for production on a day-to-day basis.
- Assist loading and unloading freeze dryer as time permits
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Computer experience needed, basic Microsoft office
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Cannot have any lifting restrictions
- Self-motivated and ability to work with little supervision
- Must be able to work in hot and dusty conditions and go up & down stairs
- Must be accurate in taking samples & performing tests
- Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
- Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
- Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
- Ability to read and write instructions in English
- Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required
- Frequently (51-75%) use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Frequently (25-50%) walk, lift and/or move 26 to 60 lbs.
- Rarely (1-25%) stand, sit, talk or hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.
