
Sales and Operations Planning Analyst

- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and critical metrics to track forecast accuracy, historical trends, market analysis, and scenario modeling
- Continuously improving planning processes, tools, and metrics to improve S&OP effectiveness and agility
- Work with cross-functional teams across the business (sales, service, finance, order administration, operations, logistics and supply chain) to:
- Support North America S&OP process on a monthly basis
- Leverage standard processes in Sales and Operations planning to benefit of the Flow Control Business Unit
- Promote Execution of Operations Plans
- Analyze market and internal performance data to identify challenges and opportunities for the business.
- Ensure timely understanding and preparation for changes in customer demand.
- Facilitate adoption of material forecast and safety stock strategies that are aligned with the sales forecasts.
- Facilitate understanding of resource changes required to complete to the forecast.
- Communication
- Engage with various levels of leadership to develop long-term relationships with the goal of becoming a trusted advisor.
- Make S&OP and associated presentations to Executive Leadership as necessary.
- Must be able to understand complex business operations and disseminate that information to executive management effectively using analytical writing skills.
- Get results across the world area by demonstrating standard processes gathered through interaction with the larger Emerson organization.
- Create opportunities to increase confidence in and adherence to the S&OP plan amongst leadership, manufacturing locations, and supply chain and collaborate on improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in technical field
- Strong business insight and knowledge of operations with 2+ years of experience in key functional roles such as business analytics, operations, supply chain, production planning, accounting and finance, and S&OP processes
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effectively deals with ambiguity
- Possess a strong intellectual curiosity and an influential collaborator

- Strong analytical capabilities and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.
- Advanced Excel skills required, including experience with pivot tables, scenario analysis, forecasting functions, and data modeling. Able to manipulate large data sets and generate actionable insights to support S&OP decision-making.
- Preferred location for role is in Marshalltown, but could be located in Sherman, TX or Mansfield, MA. If not located in Marshalltown, there would be a 20% travel requirement
