Job Title: Process Engineering TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Process Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist the Engineering Team with Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) executions on new presses, molds, as well as assist with Site Acceptance Tests/Installation Qualifications (SAT/IQ), Operational Qualifications (OQ), and Process Qualifications (PQ). You will be instrumental in creating scientific injection molding processes from scratch for new molds.Responsibilities
  • Support production on press startups, shut down, non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting processing issues.
  • Serve as the escalation contact for day-to-day manufacturing issues.
  • Act as a resource to support lean and cost-saving initiatives in the manufacturing operation.
  • Provide training and assistance to process technicians, set-up techs, and peers.
  • Support the Engineering Team with managing small to medium-scale capital projects.
  • Monitor cycle times and scrap reduction with the Production Team.
  • Make recommendations for tool repair or automation improvements.
  • Assist in material recommendations, press sizing, and line layouts for new product launches.
  • Run samples based on customer requests.
Essential Skills
  • Injection molding expertise.
  • Troubleshooting and process engineering skills.
  • Experience with FATs, SATs, and validation processes.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably within the medical industry, injection molding, and polymer processing.
  • Hands-on experience running an injection molding machine and setting/pulling molds.
  • High level of technical expertise with processing (Master Molder ideally), injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment.

  • Ability to work safely and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with all levels of personnel.
