manager. This position is for approximately 4 hours/week during the academic year, and occasional hours
during the summer.Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist the Director, Fine Arts Coordinator and administrative assistant with coordination and management of the pep band ensemble, athletic games, and pep band performances
  • Act as the main student contact & coordinator for game day events
  • Function as music librarian for the pep band
  • Perform general office duties as needed
Work-study eligible students welcome.Compensation and Benefits
  • Rate of Pay: $15.97/hour
  • Minnesota Sick and Safe Time
  • Not eligible for health insurance benefits
QualificationsRequired Experience
  • Students must be currently enrolled at Augsburg and must be work-study eligible.
  • Have successfully completed, or have registered for, MUE 140. This helps to establish qualifications to function effectively as music librarian and pep band manager
  • Music library experience
  • Staging/event experience
Additional Experience
  • Must be able to read music to be able to perform duties as music librarian
  • Be familiar with rehearsal and performance logistics for athletic events and games
  • Exhibit leadership skills
  • Good communication skills: in-person, phone, written
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to work with little to no supervision, initiative to take on projects and problem solve
Preferred Experience
  • Basic knowledge of design tools (e.g. Canva) and video editing
  • Staging/event experience
  • Public-facing hospitality or guest service experience
