- Follow technical specifications and detailed assembly instructions to produce a consistent, high-quality product.
- Perform the processes necessary for fabricating and producing micro-electromechanical systems, including Photolithography, Cap Etch, Saw-Dice, Lot Code, electrical testing, and microscope inspection in a cleanroom environment.
- Take ownership for accuracy of processes and resulting costs.
- Work with delicate or fragile materials, proficient in wafer handling.
- Become a subject matter expert in shop processes including Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, and calibration requirements.
- Accurately read and follow procedures, routing, and other work instructions.
- Focus on building parts that meet customer expectations & deadlines and owning the quality of your work.
- Participate in LEAN initiatives, cost reduction, scrap reduction, process improvement, etc.
- Effectively plan and prioritize work to meet production schedules.
- Maintain continuing education, upskilling, and special process certification requirements.
- Develop subject matter expert knowledge of the end use for completed products and the customers that purchase them.
- Champion safety and comply with all safety protocols including hazardous waste disposal programs and daily 5S and cleaning.
- Mentor and assist in development of less experienced assemblers sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Collaborate with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge, or resolve problems related to business issues.
- Communicate complex technical terminology orally and in writing.
- Stand for up to 8 hours.
- Wear PPE including a smock, hood, facemask, and gloves
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in production or lab environments with material and chemical processes, and cleanroom processes.
- 1+ years of experience operating silicon wafer processing equipment.
- Computer proficiency, SAP and Auto-time experience.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to collaborate with operators, engineers and technicians.
- Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early, and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels to mitigate risk and resolve challenges.
