- Assisting with nighttime personal care tasks such as toileting, hygiene, and repositioning
- Monitoring and responding to any changes in the individual's condition throughout the night
- Administering medications according to prescribed schedules
- Providing companionship and reassurance to promote a sense of security
- Performing light household duties as necessary, such as tidying up and preparing for the morning
- Communicating effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding any concerns or updates
- Previous experience as an overnight caregiver, preferably in a home care or assisted living setting
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight shifts
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to caregiving
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules, including weekends and holidays
