This position also involves hiring, training, and supervising staff; creating work schedules; and ensuring compliance with Tribal, state, and federal regulations. Candidates should possess experience in budget forecasting and marketing, as well as strong leadership and customer service skills. This role represents the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska and Osni by upholding their values and ensuring the store reflects cultural pride and operational excellence.Essential Responsibilities and Duties: * Lead and motivate a team of Sales Associates to meet store sales goals and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Hire and train high-quality team members on products and upselling techniques.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff to improve performance and customer service.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and scheduling to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Promote and manage customer loyalty/rewards program to build repeat business and strengthen community relationships.
  • Assist customers by answering questions, making recommendations, addressing concerns or complaints, and completing purchases.

  • Oversee daily store functions, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and deposits.
  • Ensure the proper functionality of the POS system, master its features, train staff on the system and its updates, and utilize the system for informed decision-making.
  • Implement and monitor loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Ensure store layout and merchandising align with company branding and standards.
  • Assure adherence to all operational policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulatory codes.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and performance tracking.
  • Control store supply and labor expenses as a targeted percentage of total sales.
  • Develop and implement promotional strategies to drive traffic and sales.
  • Analyze sales reports and customer data to identify trends, improve inventory decisions, and make informed strategic decisions.
  • Work toward achieving agreed-upon net profit goals as a percentage of total sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, manage purchase orders, and negotiate pricing.
  • Foster positive relationships with the local community by participating and collaborating on events.
  • This position is responsible for the overall management and operations of three locations, ensuring consistency in performance, staff oversight, customer service, and compliance across all sites.
  • Some travel may be required.

Qualifications: * Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. A college degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a retail or sales role preferred, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (i.e. cash register, scanners, etc.)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Successful completion of drug screen, motor vehicle/criminal background check, and customer reference
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
