Restaurant General Manager
Location: Brooklyn, NYA popular, high-energy Asian restaurant specializing in teppanyaki and interactive dining experiences is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead daily operations and drive continued success. This is a full-service, high-volume concept known for its theatrical dining style, lively ambiance, and strong community following. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a hands-on approach, a deep understanding of hospitality operations, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. This role requires strong team management skills, business acumen, and the ability to create a positive, performance-driven culture.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all aspects of restaurant operations including FOH and BOH coordination, staffing, scheduling, and guest satisfactionLead by example in setting and upholding high service and hospitality standardsRecruit, hire, train, and mentor team members to ensure performance, engagement, and retentionMonitor and control labor, inventory, and cost of goods to meet or exceed financial targetsEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulationsDrive local marketing efforts, community engagement, and guest loyalty programsAnalyze daily/weekly sales reports and respond strategically to operational trendsPartner closely with culinary leadership to ensure food quality, consistency, and timely executionHandle guest concerns with professionalism and follow through to resolutionFoster a collaborative, team-oriented culture that supports accountability and continuous improvementQualifications5+ years of restaurant management experience, with at least 2 years in a General Manager or equivalent roleExperience in high-volume, full-service dining—Asian cuisine or teppanyaki concept experience is a plusProven leadership and team development skillsStrong knowledge of P&L management, cost controls, and operational reportingProficiency with POS systems and scheduling toolsExcellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills * Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededIf you're a dedicated hospitality professional who thrives in high-energy environments and knows how to balance service, culture, and operations, apply today and take the lead in an exciting, guest-focused concept.
