Who You Are:As a Specialist, Insurance Authorization, for Catholic Medical Center (CMC), you will be responsible for identifying authorization needs by managing schedules across various ancillary departments. Your role involves gathering and entering accurate demographic and financial data, creating authorizations as needed, and corresponding with offices to ensure seamless processes. Your attention to detail and commitment to patient access policies will contribute to the overall efficiency of our healthcare system.This is a full time (40 hours), fully benefitted, Monday through Friday (days), position.What You'll Do:· Gather, verify, and enter accurate demographic and financial data for registered patients.· Review authorizations for various department services, ensuring compliance with policies.· Provide cross-coverage assistance for pre-registration as needed.· Work towards achieving pre-determined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for departmental days ahead, ensuring timely authorizations.· Assist in updating department manuals for new codes and workflow changes, reporting to the Supervisor.· Understand different insurances and their nuances, providing updates to the department on any changes in the authorization process.· Participate in staff meetings, provide updates on insurance changes, and contribute to the Admissions Quality Management Program.QualificationsWhat you’ll bring:· Previous experience in patient access or a related field is preferred.· Familiarity with insurance processes and authorization requirements.· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.· Excellent organizational and communication skills.· Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.· High school diploma or equivalentWho we are:Catholic Medical Center (“CMC”) is a nonprofit, regional health system committed to delivering the highest quality and most advanced healthcare to patients across New Hampshire.
