Clearance: Ability to obtainOverview: Step into a role at the forefront of human spaceflight innovation. As part of the Software Obsolescence team, you will help safeguard the Orion program by analyzing and optimizing the Software Obsolescence Roadmap. Your work will ensure mission continuity and resilience by anticipating End-of-Life (EOL) and End-of-Support (EOS) challenges before they impact operations. You ll collaborate with architects, engineers, and program leaders to design proactive solutions that protect mission readiness and shape the future of space exploration.Responsibilities:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze the Software Baseline Matrix and identify EOL/EOS timelines.
  • Refine and maintain the Software Obsolescence Roadmap to minimize risk and disruption.
  • Develop and maintain a database and user-friendly interface to track roadmap end items.
  • Propose mitigation strategies and cost-avoidance solutions for upcoming obsolescence upgrades.
  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring Orion s systems remain mission-ready for years to come.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering (required).
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in software development and integration.
  • Strong foundation in IT systems, security software, and asset management.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working in team-oriented environments.
  • Eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of obsolescence management principles and best practices.
  • Experience in human spaceflight programs.
  • Familiarity with relational database management.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps methodologies.
