In this role, you will deliver, set up and exchange ion exchange tanks to customers in commercial and industrial applications.Key CharacteristicsInitiativeCustomer-focusedAccountableDuties & ResponsibilitiesDrive truck to deliver ion exchange tanks and water treatment equipment to customer sitesEnsure that correct equipment required for the daily route is loaded, secured and meets quality specsLoad and unload tanks on trucks and maintain correct inventory on board trucks as requiredCompletes Vehicle Inspection Reports for pre-trip inspectionKeep accurate accountability of inventory at each site and make changes as neededCommunicates changes thru the proper channels and follows up to ensure that changes have been madeTakes water samples and conducts the following tests including but not limited to TDS, resistivity, pH, CO2, Cl2, and hardness. Accurately record results and make suggestions or changes as requiredRinses ion exchange tanks to customer specifications at customer sites and ensures quality specifications are metPerforms both dry and wet ion exchange tank exchangesPerforms maintenance on equipment to include PVC repair, and minor pump and motor repairsMaintains good housekeeping at all times, which includes the vehicles and customer sitesFollows WTS and customer EHS policies and rulesMaintains contact with customers on site, communicating effectively, politely, and responding to their needs. Maintains good customer relationshipsAssist with equipment or product delivery outside normal scope when needed due to business levelsMay be required to be on call during non-business hoursQualificationsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of commercial & industrial membrane systems & UV systemsKnowledge of PLC logic/programingKnowledge of ion exchange & membrane theory & operation, as well as pretreatment applicationsVocational training in applicable fields such as electrical, industrial/mechanicalAbility & willingness to handle repetitive weight, up to 50 lbsAbility & willingness to work in all weather conditionsAbility & willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, & power industry facilitiesEducation & ExperienceRequired:HS Diploma, GED or equivalentPossess a valid driver's license & clean driving record historyPreferred:Associate's Degree in electrical, industrial / mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplinesCollege coursework in chemistryExperience driving company vehicles such as panel vans or service trucksForklift certification/experience or ability to obtain forklift certificationAdditional InformationAt Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
