Responsibilities include maintaining accurate service records, offering technical support to the Topcon dealer network, and participating in engineering evaluations and failure analysis. The position also involves developing test fixtures, procedures, work instructions, and service manuals. Additionally, it focuses on generating reports, analyzing data for continuous improvement, and conducting repair training for the dealer network and junior technicians in both virtual and classroom settingsCore Job DutiesTroubleshoot, repair, and calibrate all Topcon products, ensuring optimal performance.Maintain accurate service records and enter relevant information into the service database.Provide technical repair support via phone or email to assist the Topcon dealer network.Assist in engineering evaluations, failure analysis, and generate reports with recommendations for improvement.Develop test fixtures, troubleshooting stations, procedures, work instructions, and service manuals.Conduct repair training for the Topcon dealer network and junior technicians, both virtually and in classroom environments.Minimum Requirements for job:Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics or optical instrument repair within a manufacturing or service environment
  • AA in electronics or related technology, or equivalent military training. Bachelor’s preferred
  • Familiar with test equipment, such as but not limited to multi-meters and oscilloscopes to diagnose and adjust optical, mechanical, and electronic instruments
  • Experience using a collimator for the alignment and calibration of optical instruments is highly desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and precision in service work
  • Working knowledge of laser and surveying instruments is preferred
