Application Engineer

• Engage with customers to gather essential technical information for project requirements.
• Request facility layouts, part drawings, or any relevant information to facilitate the design process.
• Present concepts and designs to customers, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Address customer inquiries and provide necessary updates throughout the process.
• Utilize SolidWorks to design conceptual solutions based on customer requirements.
• Develop preliminary design concepts, ensuring they meet functional specifications while keeping an eye on cost-effective solutions.
• Work closely with internal teams to review and refine designs.
• Generate third-party quotes or estimates to assist in the proposal process.
• Provide enough detail for accurate cost estimation, while leaving final fixture design, detailing, and other advanced engineering work to the dedicated engineering team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (2D/3D modeling, assemblies, and part design).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with customers.
• Experience in CAD design, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with preparing and evaluating project quotes and estimates.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Experience with manufacturing processes or systems integration.
• Familiarity with other CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.).
• Previous experience in a customer-facing engineering role is a plus.
