
Specialist, Digital Hardware Design Engineer

- Document your designs from requirements, testing procedures and bill of material.
- Perform detailed performance and functional measurements and debug at a hardware level.
- Create custom Circuit Cards, utilizing FPGAs, Embedded Processors, networking components, and other electronic components.
- Performance characterization of hardware over a wide variety environment condition.
- Use Industry standard interfaces (e.g. 1GE, 10GE, 40GE, 100GE, SPI, UART, SDRAM, DDR3, DDR4 JESD, PCIe, 1000BASE-T).
- Support test engineering with transition of hardware to manufacturing testing.
- Contribute to design review, system integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with CCA and Hardware Design experience.
- Familiar with lab test equipment
- Master’s Preferred
- 4 years’ experience with hardware verification, schematic capture, PCB Layout.
- Experience in laboratory debug techniques using digital scopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices.
- Experience with Mentor Graphic’s tools is a preferred.
- Familiarity with code revision management tools such as Git/ClearCase.
- Familiarity with Confluence or other information sharing tools.
