
ABA Therapist / Teacher - Early Intervention

- Build and maintain positive, therapeutic relationships with clients and their families, supporting them in their journey toward achieving personal milestones.
- Oversee programming of child to maintain data in the program book and graphing
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain child confidentiality
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans focusing on development and social engagement
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessment (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Work closely with patients and/or caregivers, clinical experts and other service providers as needed
- Work with team to increase skill acquisition while decreasing interfering behaviors
- Participate in ongoing professional development
- Direct ABA training preferred in either
- Nassau County Tier 1 and/or 2 exams
- Suffolk County Module 1 and/or 2 exams
- BA/MA/MS and New York State certification in any one of the following areas:
- Special Education Permanent Certificate
- Students with Disabilities Birth - Grade 2
- Teacher for Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
- Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH)
- Teacher of the Deaf/Vision
- Reliable transportation, driver's license, car insurance
- Proficiency with computers and electronic billing systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management, punctuality, and readiness to work!
