Governance and Experience (GNE) is a team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Response Operations Manager to play a critical role in managing time-sensitive escalations and e-commerce risk incidents, partnering closely with local Legal, Policy, Operations and Product teams to mitigate legal, reputational and ecosystem risks. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can have a direct impact on resolving business-critical issues for TikTok Shop.In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.Responsibilities:
-Transform Data into Strategic Insights: Analyze large-scale customer data to uncover performance trends, user friction points, and growth opportunities across the end-to-end journey.
- Enable Cross-Functional Decision-Making: Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Operations, and Business leaders to shape priorities and translate insights into aligned, high-impact initiatives.
- Accelerate Experience Innovation: Evaluate and reimagine existing governance and experience touchpoints, identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, and strategic enhancement.
- Deliver Insightful Reporting & Influence Through Storytelling: Design compelling dashboards, reports, and executive-facing presentations that clearly articulate performance narratives and unlock data-driven decisions.
- Partner with Stakeholders to Drive Solutions: Collaborate directly with program managers and business teams to understand their challenges, proactively identifying key trends and opportunities within complex datasets to deliver clear, actionable recommendations.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in SQL and other data processing languages
- 1+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business operation
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, comfortable digging into data and drawing insights.Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, particularly when translating complex data into clear narratives for business partners.
- Previous experience in governance, customer experience, compliance, or risk management efforts, with a strong preference for e-commerce.
