We are assisting a non-profit organization in its search for a full-time Program Director for their residential program in Midland City, Al. The role will oversee the program, supervise employees, and provide some direct client services.Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, organize, operate and supervise the complete day to day operations of the Co-occurring Program, under policies and procedures of SpectraCare while operating in compliance with the Alabama Department of Mental Health Substance Abuse Division.
  • Supervising staff, client development and safety; supervising admissions, discharges and treatment planning and coordinating with the system's clinical director concerning substance abuse and mental illness treatment of clients in the program.
  • Preparing and carrying out budgets for the program
  • Managing the resident finance program
  • Providing therapeutic services to consumers of the home
  • Partner with nursing staff to monitor the medication program
  • Use an electronic health record system to document and maintain consumer records
  • Position will require on-call status to include nights, weekends and holidays based on program needs. There may be an assistant that will rotate on-call with Program Director.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in counseling, Social Work or related Mental Health field with successful completion of a relevant clinical practicum.
  • Must have at least (2) years post masters experience in a direct service position
  • Previous supervisory experience a must
  • Completion of a clinical practicum
  • Must be willing to obtain substance abuse counselor certification within (30) months from hire from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse, Inc. if not already certified
  • Travel may be required within the catchment area and/or statewide to meet program and training needs
  • Licensure as an LPC, LICSW or LMFT in the State of Alabama is preferred
The work schedule is Monday - Friday 8am - 4pmThis position will require some on-call, weekends, evenings, and/or holidays as needed to meet program needs.The employer is offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.IND123
