Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, you will monitor department operations in Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiopulmonary Services. This position will also coordinate supply services, imaging tracking, legal service request, team member documentation and compliance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supply checks and ordering
  • Training: Confirm EKG exams in iECG
  • EKG tracking daily in Meditech
  • Respond to legal service subpoenas with invoicing and send copies of DI exams
  • Manage staff documents reviews and signatures
  • Manage compliance requirements with team members in Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiopulmonary. Check and follow-up with team members as needed.
  • Manage the front desk of Diagnostic Imaging, including scheduling, confirmation phone calls, and insurance verification
  • Contact and obtain patient orders notes, and other required documentation for Diagnostic and Cardiopulmonary exams
  • Verify active Illinois licensure for non-staff physicians
  • Verify insurance for Diagnostic Imaging exams and obtain authorization as needed
  • Enter orders in Meditech RIS system and contact Technologists to inform them of patient's arrival. Relay additional information and provide paperwork to appropriate technologist and modality
  • Check out patients upon completion of procedure
  • Maintain regular contact with Hospital departments in order to obtain relevant information (i.e. medical records, nursing floors, business office, etc)
  • Create and maintain Diagnostic Imaging records
  • Operate standard office equipment including computers, telephones, copy/scanner/fax machine, and printers
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understands and adheres to Loretto Hospital’s compliance standards as they appear in the Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Hospital regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months to a year or related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Proficient in computer and online systems.

Using proper body mechanics, the employee may be expected to lift, pull, push or move patients and/or equipment. Fine motor skills are required when using hands and fingers to handle, feel or reach. Normal or corrected vision, hearing and ability to speak are necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, sharp eye focus and ability to distinguish colors.
