- Manage and lead a team of House Leads and Direct Support Professionals.
- Foster a positive, innovative, person-centered environment.
- Ensure compliance with state, county, and local regulations, as well as organizational standards.
- Assist in new hire interviews and coordinate in-service training.
- Conduct meetings, evaluate staff, and recommend promotions.
- Organize community outings and activities for consumer growth.
- Facilitate communication between families and community resources.
- Prepare staff reports and ensure compliance with reporting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement personalized treatments.
- Coordinate schedules and fill open shifts.
- Act as a liaison and advocate for staff.
- Identify and solve potential problems and barriers.
- Supervise department employees and maintain compliance with protocols.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or 3-5 years of leadership experience.
- Experience in Special Education or Developmental Disabilities (DD) field, preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Minimum of two years in a management role.
- Critical thinking and initiative-taking abilities.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Completion of Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) training.
- Clear background check and drug test.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License and less than six points on your driving record.
- Directly supervise employees according to organizational policies and laws.
- Responsibilities include hiring, training, assigning work, performance appraisals, rewards, discipline, and conflict resolution.
- Frequent physical activities include walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 45 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking in the community and other activities.
- Ability to tolerate varying noise levels and exposure to weather extremes, bodily fluids, and stressful situations.
