- conduct thorough needs assessments to identify the learning requirements and specifications of target audiences and collaborate with subject matter experts to translate insights into effective, tailored learning solutions
- construct clear, measurable, and behavioral focused learning objectives for projects
- collaborate with learning consultants/developers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and stakeholders to understand project scope, objectives, and formulate timelines
- provide input prior to development to ensure engaging, effective learning experiences; and review projects to incorporate feedback while maintaining alignment with deadlines
- design engaging learning activities and assessments that align with learner needs, ensuring relevance, effectiveness, and measurable outcomes
- assist in the selection of training methodology while considering the characteristics of each medium and the intended impact of these characteristics on the effectiveness of the solution
- design learning environments, experiences, scripts, storyboards, PowerPoint presentations, training plans, multi-modal AR/VR experiences, participant guides and facilitator guides to support effective instructional delivery
- support the design and development of leadership and management curricula that drive growth, performance, and strategic capability across the organization
- deliver high-impact professional development resources through our flagship agency development programs, empowering agencies with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive
- lead collaborative brainstorming sessions with L&D developers to spark creativity and enhance the engagement and effectiveness of learning solutions
- partner with fellow instructional designers to develop and create evaluation tools and assessments for level I, III and IV of Kirkpatrick’s model
- evaluate current eLearning, videos, classroom events and virtual training for quality and effectiveness while making suggestions for improvement
- stay current on and research emerging learning trends and their recommended use, including innovative best practices, gamification, artificial intelligence, capabilities and methodologies in the design and development of solution offerings
- experience building and managing blended learning programs: virtual, hybrid or in-person instructor-led training
- knowledge in all facets of virtual training, including advanced adult learning principles of virtual instructional design and development, virtual technology and tools, and synchronous and asynchronous learning strategies
- a working knowledge of online course development processes in Articulate 360, with an emphasis on instructional design rather than eLearning or web development
- demonstrated proficiency in visual design principles and tools, with hands-on experience using Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) to create engaging, accessible, and instructionally sound digital learning assets
- proven design, development and delivery of management and advanced leadership training programs
- experience in developing formal training focused on soft skill development
- a high level of creativity in instructional design, consistently exploring fresh and engaging ways to present information that captivates and motivates learners
- strong project management and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver within scope, on time
- value and demonstrates the ability to collaborate with L&D staff and build strong relationships with subject matter experts and stake holders
- exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence through clear, compelling written and verbal messaging

- bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education or a related field; a master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology
- knowledge in learning experience or instructional design with three or more years in a corporate environment
- working understanding of design tools, including A.D.D.I.E., SAM or Action Mapping ISD methods
