We are a nationally recognized non-profit with 35+ locations across Washington state that provided a chance for change to over 9,500 individuals in 2024.The General Manager provides senior leadership for one or more Pioneer Industries sites, with full accountability for safety, financial performance, operational excellence, employee engagement, production, maintenance, and all elements of customer satisfaction including quality and on-time delivery.This role oversees manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution operations spanning over 165,000 square feet of aerospace facilities. Pioneer Industries' capabilities include comprehensive sheet metal fabrication, machining, finishing, water jet, assembly and distribution services for a wide range of current products in the aerospace, space, and defense industries.What you'll do
- Lead Manufacturing & Distribution Operations - Direct all aspects of production, warehouse, and delivery to achieve quality and on-time performance goals.
- Own Financial Performance - Oversee full P&L accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and capital planning.
- Drive Strategic Growth - Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies to strengthen operations and expand market presence.
- Foster Customer Partnerships - Cultivate relationships that expand business opportunities and strengthen long-term collaboration.
- Advance Operational Excellence - Implement effective systems, process improvements, and ERP/manufacturing technologies to optimize performance.
- Champion Safety First - Build and sustain a culture of safety, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement
- Integrate Mission & Impact - Align operations with Pioneer Human Services' mission, embedding workforce development and social impact in business practices
- Proven Leadership - 10+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing operations, including at least 3 years with full P&L responsibility.
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Strategic Business Acumen - Deep expertise in operations, financial management, and driving growth in complex manufacturing environments.
- Technical Competence - Familiarity with ERP/manufacturing software (Epicor or similar), and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
- Industry Experience - Aerospace or defense manufacturing expertise highly desirable; active engagement in professional networks a plus.
- Transformational Impact - A track record of leading large-scale change and operational excellence in high-volume industries.
- Exceptional Communication Skills - Ability to build strong relationships, inspire teams, and represent the organization confidently with customers and stakeholders.
