- Prepares construction cost estimates by doing takeoffs and analyzing all costs associated with the work.
- Obtains quotes from vendors and subcontractors and ensures that scopes and qualifications meet project needs.
- Attends meetings and speaks with customers, professionals, suppliers and team members.
- Field measure and take core samples on existing buildings.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
- Research upcoming projects
- Track bid volumes for reporting
- Other duties as assigned
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
- 1- 3 years of construction estimating experience
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
