The project teams consist of cross-functional personnel and as a member your creative thinking and judgment will contribute to the overall resolution of technical, logistical, cost, and schedule issues for the program.This is a high-impact, high visibility opportunity for the right individual who has developed a substantial skill-set, has good self-management abilities, a can-do attitude and an enthusiasm for success.Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: Advanced level design work - participate in various server and storage enclosures and sub-assemblies designs including
  • sheet metal
  • plastic design
  • Drive mounting and carrier design
  • Focus on tolerancing, usability, reuse, manufacturability, materials
 Perform design simulations to ensure “right-the-first-time” designs. Transport rack and crate design, prototype and validation Component drawing and BOM system creation Mechanical execution of tests and publication of test results Work with outside suppliers as necessary to meet cost targets and schedules Contribute to design process enhancements. Domestic and international travel may be required support manufacturing and component fabrication.Education and Experience:
  • BSME degree
  • Working knowledge of GPUs and common GPU deployment models
  • Experience designing enclosures to support GPUs up to 600W in power
  • Working understanding and knowledge of GPU design tradeoffs to include power, thermals, performance, signal integrity, etc.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Self-starter
