- Manage all daily accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee billing processes and coordinate with attorneys and staff to ensure accuracy
- Partner with a third-party payroll provider and ensure smooth payroll processing
- Administer benefits programs (health, dental, vision, 401k, etc.) and serve as the primary point of contact for employees
- Handle HR functions including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and maintaining compliance with employment policies
- Lead vendor management, contract negotiations, and oversee supply ordering and office needs
- Plan firm-wide events and employee engagement activities
- Ensure the office is appropriately staffed and operating efficiently
- Proven experience in accounting
- QuickBooks experience helpful
- Knowledge of HR practices, employee benefits administration, and office operations
- Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the firm
- Proactive, resourceful, and hands-on leader who enjoys wearing many hats
