Our goal is to provide an experience that will be an important, effective first step in the career of a future software engineer.This position is for a Spring 2026 Co-Op, with a start date of January 2026 and running through the spring semester.What You'll Do:
  • Assist in monitoring SMT, AOI, SPI and Selective solder equipment for performance issues.
  • Help engineers collect and analyze production data (defects, cycle times, yields),
  • Participate in Design of Experiments (DOE) and continuous improvements projects.
  • Develop or maintain small software tools / scripts (Python, C) for data collection, reporting, and automation.
  • Support integration o shop-floor equipment with IFS systems.
  • Assist in building dashboards for process monitoring, quality tracking, and engineering reporting.
  • Contribute to documentation updates.
  • Assist in developing test jigs, fixtures, or simple PCBs to aid production and validation.
Co-Op gains experience in:
  • Hands-on experience with PCB assembly processes and test methodologies.
  • Understanding the interaction of hardware, software, and manufacturing systems.
  • Build practical skills in data analysis, automation, and process improvement.
  • Experience the engineering problem-solving cycle from defect discovery to solution implementation.
What You'll Bring:
  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior interested in computer engineering
  • 3.0 GPA or greater
  • Experience with C#, Azure, Java, Python
  • Some experience with HTML, SQL, CSS, JavaScript
