- Oversee all day-to-day production activities ensuring the process and finished product meet or exceed all established safety (RC 14001) & quality (ISO 9001) standards while efficiently utilizing available manpower/staffing.
- Ensure weekly production schedules are met and communication/customer service between planning, operations and procurement are maintained.
- Provide mentoring, performance management, motivation, and daily supervision of operations personnel in the blending, packaging and distribution operations. Including 4 direct reports who are front line leaders in the facility.
- Champion the Zero Incident Culture in your organization to ensure the safety of employees working in plant. This includes a focus on engagement, communication, recordkeeping and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. Not limited to RC 14001, OSHA, EPA, environmental rules, regulations, ISO work instructions and company policies and maintain appropriate records.
- Ability to work cross-functionally on multiple teams at both the plant and corporate level. This includes EHS, COE, Quality, Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Project Management, Technical, and Sales to continually drive innovation, improvement and improve safety, customer service, quality and employee experience.
- Drive continuous improvement through the Valvoline lean management program including coordination of A3’s and Kaizen. Analyzing data from the industry 4.0 initiative to funnel projects into the lean management system. Additionally supporting the implementation of the TRACC program.
- Exceling in a performance management culture while developing/maintaining KPI’s, performance standards while utilizing technology, reporting and trending tools to drive improvement.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in and Engineering Discipline preferred - will consider Science or Business degree.
- MBA or additional certifications in Lean Management or Leadership is a bonus
- 5 - 10 Years of upward progressing leadership experience in a manufacturing and packaging facility.
- Preferred experience in Lean Manufacturing and Supply Chain management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and project management skills.

- Ability to identify and focus on what drives safety, quality, and profit while maintaining forward progress across all functions of the business
- Ability to travel up to 10%
