
CMM Quality Technician

- Accurately measure parts using CMMs to verify dimensions and tolerances against blueprints.
- Create and modify programs to measure specific parts and components using software.
- Interpret measurements, identify discrepancies and document inspection results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CMM programming issues and measurement discrepancies.
- Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to ensure the product meets the specifications, including first articles, first-piece inspection, in-process and final inspection.
- Documents, reviews, and maintain documentation related to manufacturing, quality control, and quality assurance.
- Maintain production team accountability and accuracy for inspection reports and specification compliance.
- Support the continuous improvement and personal accountability within the production departments, focusing on eliminating NCRs and Scrap.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment.
- Perform inspection on raw and machined parts, fabricated and purchased parts, and pump assemblies.
- Maintain standard inspection records including component history cards and receiving activity logs.
- Generate non-conforming material reports and control non-conforming material from suppliers and factory fallout.
- Assist in the development and documentation of inspection work instructions and processes.
- Perform duties in accordance with Grundfos quality standards.
- Perform the job in a way that meets all applicable laws, regulations and EHS requirements
- A High School Diploma is required.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of previous experience in Quality Inspection.
- 3-5 years of experience with CMM operation, programming, and relevant software.
- ASQ or equivalent professional certification in quality disciplines is preferred.
- FARO Factory training certification for Platinum model with CAM 2x a plus.
- Experience in working in an ISO environment.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and engineering drawings incorporating Geometric tolerancing.
- Previous experience in use and programming of FARM Arm CMM preferred.
- Experience using standard metrology tools including, calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, etc.
- Strong data collection and reporting skills.
