Perform adjustments to improve process performance.
Set-up multiple fixtures and torch systems on semi-automatic brazing machines.
Precision measuring of machine fixturing.
Perform regular scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and fixtures.
Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work area.
Works closely with operators to optimize machine performance.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly PM service as required on machines, keeping records and logs.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings (blueprints) and bill of materials.
Ability to use fixed gauges involving interpretation.
Basic understanding of brazing and soldering technology including; acceptable joint quality, cause and correction of unacceptable parts/joints, application of fluxes and design criteria, and understanding of materials reaction to environment during processing.
Basic understanding of semi-automatic brazing and soldering machinery including process set-up settings, electronic controls (PLC), set index cycles rates, gas and air flow regulators, wire feed units, paste flux applicators, and part protection from high environment (high temperature).
Basic understanding of hazardous material usage including MSDS requirements and operator safety and code compliance.
Ability to perform mechanical operations such as: set up equipment for high volume processing, rapid fixture change-over, fixture, torch and equipment adjustment, repair and replacement of fixture and equipment parts, and maintain adequate spare parts for equipment and fixtures.
Communicate and coordinate with maintenance to repair machines.
Responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas in work area.Qualifications
