The Indiana State Park Inns are one of the oldest state parks lodging systems in the country. We proudly operate seven unique and beautiful facilities throughout our great state of Indiana that offer a unique experience for guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and make memories naturally!Abe Martin Lodge:Located just outside Nashville, Indiana, Abe Martin Lodge is nestled in the picturesque hills of Indiana’s largest state park, Brown County State Park. The lodge features 84 guest rooms, the Little Gem Restaurant, cabins, an indoor water park, and over 6,000 square feet of banquet/conference space.Salary Information:
Hourly rate varies based on position. Tipped positions start at a minimum of $4.00 per hour and non-tipped positions start at a minimum of $12.65 per hour.Food & Beverage Department Overview:
Positions may include but are not limited to Server in the Banquet or Dining Room, Bartender, Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper, and Cook/Baker/Kitchen Prep.A Day in the Life:The essential functions of this role are as follows:
  • Provide quality customer service while serving guests at the designated bar, banquet hall, or dining room.
  • Understanding the current menu items to explain to any guests who may have questions.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Prepare and serve food while following all applicable guidelines.
  • Selling food items, beverage items, ice, and other items specific to their locations.
  • This role may be responsible for reporting information regarding the inventory & stock of supplies necessary to operations.
  • May be responsible for the collection of revenue from cash/credit card and cash/credit card handling duties.

  • This role should expect to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Individuals may experience working in potentially inclement weather.
  • Individuals may be required to wear an Inns-provided uniform.
  • May be required to travel to additional properties.
  • May perform duties in a variety of different environments.
  • May be required to work around potentially dangerous heavy equipment (e.g. compactors, industrial dishwashers, hot stoves, etc.).
Benefits of Employment with the State Park Inns:Indiana State Park Inns supplements its full-time workforce with intermittent or part-time employees to effectively manage the workload, plan for employee absences, and other situations. Management will determine which positions are part-time and which are considered intermittent. Part-time and intermittent employees enjoy flexible scheduling, opportunities to learn new skills, and your workplace will be one of the most beautiful places in Indiana!Intermittent: Employees who work less than 30 hours per week are placed in intermittent positions. Intermittent employees are not eligible for benefits.Part-time: Employees who work 30-36 hours per week and are placed in a part-time position. These positions’ hours may vary per week depending on the business needs and staffing levels within the operations.
