- Assist in planning and conducting practices, skill development sessions, and strength training.
- Support day-to-day operations of the basketball program, including travel coordination and equipment management.
- Participate in recruitment of qualified student-athletes, both regionally and nationally.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture focused on discipline, accountability, and student development.
- Promote academic success, sportsmanship, and adherence to NJCAA and institutional rules and regulations.
- Help organize and supervise off-season workouts, open gyms, and strength training programs.
- Represent the basketball program positively in the community and at College events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Coaching experience at the collegiate, high school, or club level.
- Strong knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and training methods.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach will work in a combination of indoor environments, including office settings and gymnasiums.
- The role involves frequent standing, walking, running, and other physical activities related to coaching and training athletes.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Evening and weekend hours are required to accommodate practices, games, and travel for competitions.
- Travel is required for away games and recruiting activities, which may include overnight stays.
- The position requires effective communication and interaction with student-athletes, coaching staff, and the public.
- Part-time, 12-month position with a varying schedule.
- Estimated yearly contract is $5,000.00 per year based on part-time hours.
