Information Systems Security Architect, LeadThe Opportunity:Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to a system and cloud architecture—you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cyber engineering and architecture skills to lead the design and development of secure cloud systems for the DoD? We’re looking for an architect who can create secure cloud solutions for the DoD that will withstand even the most advanced cyber threats.As a lead cyber cloud engineer and solutions architect at Booz Allen, you’ll design secure cloud solutions to support mission-critical operations. You’ll coordinate work with CSPs and internal R&D and delivery teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s IT needs and goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solutions, so you’ll advise on new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll guide the team through a critical approach to network and cloud design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs.This is a chance to lead a team to make a difference in the security of warfighter operations. You’ll oversee efforts to help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices like zero-trust solutions and multi-cloud deliveries . You’ll broaden your skillset into areas like edge security while building peace of mind in a critical infrastructure. The world can’t wait.You Have:10+ years of experience in information security with a focus on cloud security architecture5+ years of experience with delivering holistic cloud security solutions with platforms, such as AWS or AzureExperience with security standards and frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS BenchmarksKnowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud and their native security toolsKnowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and solutions, including encryption, authentication, intrusion detection, and firewallsAbility to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to lead security practitioners or cross-functional teams supporting complex cloud security deliveriesTS/SCI clearance with a polygraphBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or CybersecurityDoD 8140 IAM III Certification, such as CISSPNice If You Have:Experience with delivering multi-cloud solutions in complex government environmentsKnowledge of secure cloud scripting processes, such as HashiCorp or TerraformAbility to lead teams across multiple services, in dynamic and varying compliance and security environmentsMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related fieldCloud Security Certification, including CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, or AWS SecurityClearance:

The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
