A local media company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Knoxville, TN. You will be working on core software used to manage their streaming capabilities with C#, .NET 8, Lite React/Typescript, REST, SQL and Azure. Experience building and integrating REST APIs and the ability to work with Azure managed services (Functions, Blob Storage, Key Vault, etc.) are key competencies for this role. Additionally, any frontend experience with Typescript based frameworks (Angular, React or Vue) is a plus for this role.This position provides an opportunity to join a well known organization and help decide the future of their technology solutions. Candidates should be comfortable working individually as well as collaboratively. The role is direct hire and requires 4 days onsite in Knoxville, TennesseeRequired Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of experience building web applications C#/.NET
  • 5+ years of experience building and consuming APIs and/or web services (REST preferred)
  • UI development with Typescript based frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) is a plus
  • Azure managed services experience (Functions, App Services, Key Vault, Blob Storage, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field preferred

What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown
  • 10% Frontend development (React, Typescript, JavaScript)
  • 90% Backend development (.NET 8, REST, SQL Server, Azure managed services)
Daily Responsibilities
  • 100% Hands On
  • Up to 50% of the time you will be doing Architecture and Design work
  • 50% Individual contribution
  • 50% Team Collaboration (mentoring junior engineers)
