To provide safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles by performing quality preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and expert diagnostics. This role helps prevent breakdowns, reduce downtime, and ensure fleet reliability.
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and vehicle/equipment testing.
  • Plan, schedule, and review in-house and outsourced fleet work orders.
  • Communicate with drivers and route schedulers.
  • Manage ordering, purchasing, stocking, and inventory of vehicle parts.
  • Perform complex technical repairs.
  • Monitor and manage assigned budget efficiently.
  • Keep complete records of repairs, maintenance, and expenses.
  • Stay updated with regulatory requirements for fleet operations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • CDL required.
  • ASE Certification in diesel mechanics or trade/technical school certification.
  • Minimum 2 years in diesel and heavy equipment repair.
  • Knowledge of fleet maintenance principles and practices.
  • Experience with refrigeration units, evacuation, and recharge.
  • Ability to analyze repairs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Up-to-date with trends and innovations in fleet repair.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and climb.
  • Work in extreme temperatures.
  • Available for on-call and after-hours work.
