Dues Accounting Specialist (Hybrid-St. Louis)

- Serve as the primary contact for AOA members and affiliate organizations regarding membership dues.
- Process membership status changes, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate correspondence records.
- Coordinates and assists colleagues with reoccurring membership processes, including renewals, new graduate transitions, and delinquency notifications.
- Reconcile and process dues payments, research and resolve related issues, and distribute required reports.
- Generate various monthly, quarterly, and annual membership and financial reports for affiliates and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinates credentialing activities, including finalizing delegate and vote counts for the House of Delegates.
- Maintain internal documentation, including the Dues Accounting Procedure Manual and membership forms.
- 2+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience required. Accounts receivable experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- Membership experience a plus.
- Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel).
- Experience with Personify or AMS is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Balances efficiency and accuracy to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of detail and data integrity in alignment with AOA Bylaws.
