Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Inspector – Above Ground Tank ConstructionJob Type: Full-TimePosition Overview:The company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector with a strong background in above ground storage tank (AST) construction. The QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all phases of tank fabrication, welding, assembly, and testing comply with applicable codes, client specifications, project drawings, and internal quality standards.This role requires field-based inspection on active construction sites and may involve travel to various project locations across the [Region, e.g., Rocky Mountain region or Western U.S.].Key Responsibilities:Perform inspections of above ground tank fabrication and erection to ensure compliance with:API 650, API 653, AWWA, ASME, AWS D1.1, and other applicable codesReview and verify welding procedures (WPS), welder qualifications (WPQ), and ensure compliance during field welding activitiesMonitor fit-up, alignment, and dimensional tolerances during tank assemblyConduct visual weld inspections and coordinate non-destructive examination (NDE) activities such as:Magnetic particle testing (MT)Ultrasonic testing (UT)Radiographic testing (RT)Document all inspections and generate detailed reports and NCRs (non-conformance reports) as neededReview mill test reports (MTRs), material certifications, and ensure traceability of materials usedWitness hydrostatic testing and perform final punch list inspections prior to tank commissioningCoordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issuesSupport QA/QC audits and ensure adherence to the project’s Quality Control Plan
