- Follow all safety precautions and procedures at all times.
- Operate lift equipment to transport boats and trailers as directed by Management.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on lift equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist Facilities Manager with the inspection of all new boats (fleet and retail boats) delivered to dealership.
- Collaborate with the sales and service teams to coordinate the movement of inventory.
- Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the yard, parts storage areas and display areas.
- Maintain accurate records of lift operations and report any issues to management.
- Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to standard trailers, forklifts, telehandlers, tractors, gantry cranes and hydraulic trailers.
- Perform related tasks such as shrink wrapping, detailing, pressure washing (boats, equipment and facilities), bottom painting, bottom scraping, block and stand vessels as needed.
- Perform trailer service as directed by Management (customer, fleet and yard).
- Perform equipment service (fleet vehicles, tractors, forklifts, boat stands, etc.) as directed by Management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Professional appearance
- Have a valid state driver’s license with clean RMV report for the past 24 months
- Have a valid Hoisting License equal to or exceeding a 1A/2C
- Currently maintains, or is able to secure a Department of Transportation Commercial Driver Medical Certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to ascend and descend a ladder, lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Be able to operate machinery efficiently, effectively and demonstrate safe handling of vessels, vehicles and trailers.
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Knowledge of trailer types and capacities
- Understanding of DOT vehicle regulations and safety standards
- Ability to efficiently and safely load and unload boats onto trailers
- Knowledge of towing limits and of weight distribution when hauling boats
- Familiarity with basic maintenance procedures for vehicles, trailers, vessels and equipment
- Experience using a variety of towing equipment, including winches, ratchet straps, and chains
- Consistently treats others with dignity and respect
