About the RoleGBS Corporate is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our HR team. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing payroll across multiple entities, administering employee benefits, and supporting compliance and HR projects. You'll also play a key role in programs such as 401(k), profit sharing, and ESOP administration.What You'll DoProcess weekly payroll for all employees across five entities, including bonuses and commissions.Maintain payroll data: deductions, garnishments, vacation/sick time, and benefit changes.Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, terminations, audits, 401(k), profit sharing, and ESOP.Track and manage FMLA, Short-Term Disability, and other leave programs.Process unemployment and workers' compensation claims, coordinating with agencies and carriers.Handle employment verifications for external agencies and financial institutions.Reconcile and process invoices related to HR services (benefits, training, etc.).Support HR projects such as employee surveys, training programs, and policy updates.Assist with new HR initiatives and system implementations.What We're Looking ForPrior experience in payroll processing and benefits administration required.Knowledge of HR processes, FMLA, unemployment claims, and workers' compensation.Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Experience with Criterion a plus.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required.Associate's degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of desk/computer work.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.Why Join GBS?At GBS, we value accuracy, integrity, and teamwork.
