
HVAC Installation Foreman

- Supervise and manage a crew of 5 or more technicians on commercial HVAC installation projects.
- Plan and execute small to mid-size commercial HVAC installations.
- Create material lists and coordinate procurement with Project Managers.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on scheduling and timeline coordination.
- Oversee installation of mechanical systems ranging from 5 to 200 tons, including chilled water systems, RTUs, and VRF/VRV systems.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site installation issues.
- Ensure work is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain a safe job site and ensure team adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Vocational training or completed HVAC apprenticeship strongly preferred.
- Minimum 10–15 years of commercial HVAC installation experience.
- Proven leadership and crew management experience required.
- EPA Universal Certification (required).
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
- NATE certification (a plus).
- Proficient in HVAC system types, installation methods, and controls.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and wiring.
- Experienced in the use of HVAC tools, diagnostic devices, and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of relevant local codes, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

- Support in obtaining and processing necessary permits and inspections.
- Keep all tools and equipment clean, safe, and in working order.
- Work performed indoors and outdoors at various commercial construction sites.
- Frequent exposure to heights, confined spaces, loud noise, and variable weather conditions.
- Regular use of ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and other access equipment.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory on all active job sites.
- Fast-paced, physically demanding, and safety-regulated work setting.
- Lift/carry 50–75 lbs and maneuver heavier equipment with assistance.
- Work in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces) and elevated areas (ladders, lifts).
- Perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, bending, and reaching.
- Tolerate various job site environments including heat, cold, dust, and noise.
- Good visual acuity and physical stamina for extended work hours.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Willing to work flexible hours including weekends, overtime, and out-of-town assignments as needed.
- Commitment to ongoing training and embracing changes in industry technology and company processes.
