- Someone who maintains an organized, well-prepped work area and keeps props, tools, and materials in ready-to-use condition
- Prepare and style food for photo and video shoots to ensure freshness, realism, and visual appeal
- Apply techniques to maintain food appearance over time under studio lighting and on-set conditions
- Collaborate with photographers and art directors to determine plating, garnishes, and scene composition
- Arrange and stage household goods, seasonal items, and branded products for shoots
- Select and position props, backgrounds, and surfaces that complement the product and align with the brand aesthetic
- Work with 3D and post-production teams to ensure physical setups match or integrate seamlessly with CGI elements
- Adjust styling quickly in response to creative direction or lighting changes
- Work closely with photographers, videographers, and post-production to achieve final-frame perfection
- Maintain prop and surface inventory, sourcing new materials as needed to keep scenes fresh and relevant
- Plan, prep, and organize styling elements in advance for smooth shoot days
- Keep detailed records of sources, materials, and setups for continuity across shoots
- Incorporate AI-assisted pre-visualization tools for scene planning when appropriate
- 5+ years experience as a food stylist or in a food styling–adjacent role
- Demonstrated portfolio of food and/or product styling across photo and video
- Knowledge of styling tools, techniques, and materials for both edible and inedible products
- Familiarity with studio environments and collaboration with photographers and art directors
- Comfort working in fast-paced, high-volume production settings
- Ability to make products look their absolute best under any condition
- Skill in telling a brand story through arrangement, texture, and color
- Confidence in managing multiple styling setups in a single shoot day
- Lift, prep, and transport food and styling supplies with care and organization?
- Travel locally for on-location shoots as needed?
- Flex hours based on shoot schedules, including early calls or extended days?
- Style food and products for maximum visual impact while keeping them authentic?
- Work seamlessly with photographers, videographers, and post teams to ensure continuity and brand alignment?
- Adapt to last-minute creative direction and keep pace in a dynamic studio environment?
