Our urgent care based at Denver Health Medical Center offers opportunities to teach residents, a high-functioning EMR (EPIC), Dragon Dictation Devices and a collaborative clinical environment.The Urgent Care Clinic is a Federally Qualified Health Care site that sees and manages approximately 40,000 patients annually. A wide array of consultant services and diagnostic testing are available on-site, including access to bedside ultrasound, in-clinic X-ray and CT, US and MRI services. Hours of the Clinic are 7am-7pm, 7 days/week. The Downtown Urgent Care is a state of the art facility that sees approximately 5,000 patients annually and its hours are 7am-7pm, Mon-Thursday. The Virtual Urgent Care sees approximately 18,000 patients annually and its hours are 7am-7pm, 7 days/week. - Provide medical care to patients, diagnose illnesses, write prescriptions and perform various medical procedures and exams. Records relevant information in patient records.
- Analyze records, examination information, or test results to diagnose medical conditions. (60%)
- Assess patients' pain levels or sedation requirements. (10%)
- Collect and record patient information, such as medical history or examination results.
- Conduct primary patient assessments that include information from prior medical care.
- Doctorate Degree Graduation from an Accredited Medical School. Required
- MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
- Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
- Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
- Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
- Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
