- Directing all procurement activities for assigned capital projects, including competitive bidding, vendor communications, proposal reviews, and purchase order issuance.
- Managing vendor relationships with a focus on contract details, delivery schedules, and risk mitigation for high-value or complex capital equipment and materials.
- Developing, implementing, and overseeing tendering processes (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs) for the procurement of commodities, engineered equipment, and specialty services aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Negotiating major purchase agreements, construction contracts, and framework agreements in collaboration with legal and project management teams, ensuring terms meet performance, quality, and compliance objectives.
- Monitoring project procurement budgets, identify opportunities for cost savings, and report on deviations and corrective actions.
- Establishing and maintaining comprehensive records and documentation for procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier communications, ensuring compliance with all corporate policies, industry regulations, and audit requirements.
- Conducting ongoing market research and supplier performance evaluations to inform procurement strategy and improve supply chain resilience.
- Collaborating closely with project managers, engineering, finance, and other internal stakeholders to align procurement objectives with project milestones and requirements.
- Assisting in developing and delivering training for procurement processes, systems, and standards to project and procurement team members.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of procurement best practices, strategic sourcing initiatives, and risk management processes.
- Significant procurement experience, with a proven track record in capital projects, construction, or heavy industry.
- Expertise in bidding, contract negotiation, purchase order management, and supplier communications.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, tendering processes, project controls, and industry best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in procurement and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Fluent English required; multilingual capabilities preferred.
