
Reclamation Site Foreman - On-Call

- Support the planning, scheduling, and executing of field construction projects and tasks, having experience leading and working directly alongside field crews on all field tasks, and providing insight to efficiently completing work and using safe work practices for addressing small, heavy civil projects.

- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; and monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Willing to travel and work away from home for a week or more at a time, capable of standing for long periods of time, must be able to lift or move 50 pounds regularly in various terrain, and can easily access sites in remote areas on foot. Exhibits strong mechanical skills, has a good driving record, and pays attention to detail and ability to organize and effectively manage multiple field tasks to efficiently achieve project contract requirements.
- Must work well in a team setting, communicates well both verbally and in written form, and takes initiative to solve problems.
- Experience working in Western U.S. and with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as non-governmental groups.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, electronic timesheet and expense report submittals, computer applications is a plus.
- Strong teammate, communicator and problem solver.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as evidenced by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER - desired
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Has strong work experience in the areas noted above, holds a trade school certification in construction management or heavy equipment operation, or has earned an associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management, sciences, engineering technician, or related field.
- Has minimum of two years’ experience operating heavy equipment (excavator, loader, bulldozer) on earthwork projects involving one or more of the following project types: watershed restoration, AML closures, fire mitigation or restoration, water storage/conveyance improvements, site revegetation, stream hydraulic and habitat restoration, stormwater infrastructure improvements, remote roadway construction, or similar work. Familiarity with soft and hard surface trail construction and welding experience is a plus.
