- Hourly pay rate of $29.59 to $33.82
- Possess a complete understanding of the menus and syllabus
- Ensure all food is prepared according to the recipes and standards specified by the Chef and Chef de Parties
- Delegate and assign duties to Cooks Assistants to ensure a consistently high level of productivity
- Contribute ideas to Seasonal menu development and assist in the creation of Fresh Sheet items, Tasting Menu items etc
- Demonstrate the importance of food and labour cost
- Monitor and communicate Food Safe Standards to ensure all food is properly stored, labeled and rotated
- Promote professional work habits and contribute to a maintaining a safe and positive environment
- Other duties assigned
- Journeyperson's papers, Red Seal or equivalents
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a hotel or kitchen of comparable size and must be within last 5 years (recent experience)
- Completely fluent English language and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Successful completion of practical cooking test
- Must hold a Food safe certificate
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong artistic skills in food presentation
- High level of responsibility and commitment
- Team player with proven success in relationship building
- Strong leadership and motivational skills and ability to effectively train and develop co-workers
- Commitment to providing excellent service and exceeding guests' expectations
- Available to work flexible shifts
- Physically capable of:
- Continuous standing for extended periods of time
- Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50lbs
- Working in hot and cold environments
