- Location: Saint Louis, MO
- Ensures patient safety through compliance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures which result in zero preventable errors.
- Works in collaboration with others to improve patient, employee and physician satisfaction.
- Participates in the creation of a financially effective facility through the efficient utilization of resources.
- Supports the care of the patient through the provision of timely supply management and accurate physician preference lists.
- Functions as a member of the team through active participation in staff meetings, committees, and special projects.
- Demonstrates and promotes the principles of relationship based care through the development of health relationships with patients, staff and physicians.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians
- Three years' experience
- Constant use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Constant use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Constant lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Frequent lifting/moving patients.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching and gripping.
- Frequent use of clear vision at 20 inches or less.
- Frequent use of speech to share information through oral communication.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing over 50 lbs.
- Occasional use of clear vision at 20 feet or more.
- Occasional use of sitting, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Occasional keyboard use/data entry.
- Rare kneeling.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- And
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- Or
- Tech in Surgery - Certified - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Or
- National Registered Surgical Technician (NRST) - American Allied Health Association (AAH)
