- Loan Administration & Transactions: Process and post complex participations, and regular loan payments, payoffs, advances, and adjustments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Record Keeping: Maintain and accurate and up-to-date loan records, including the maintenance and client information updates in the core system, audit loan records in the bank's core system when loan performing booking reviews, including complex changes to payment schedules, interest rates, and borrower information, process loan modifications, deferments,
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with bank policies and relevant lending regulations and generate reports for management as needed.
- Escrow Management: Oversee escrow accounts, perform advanced escrow analyses, and manage disbursements for taxes and insurance, track and manage insurance renewals including lender-placed insurance.
- Customer Service: Respond to escalated borrower inquiries and resolve complex servicing issues related to account status, payment discrepancies, and payoff processing.
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate payment processing, record-keeping and to Initiate and process complex servicing actions such as loan modifications, extensions, and re-amortizations.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to review loan data, identify problems and contribute to solutions
- Liaison: Coordinate with others departments to resolve servicing issues and assist with audits and other duties as assigned. - Independently manage complex servicing tasks such as escrow analysis, insurance tracking, and loan modifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Mentor and support junior servicing staff by providing guidance, training, and quality control feedback.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for escalated servicing issues, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree or relevant coursework is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in loan servicing or related functions such as loan processing, escrow management, or loan administration, government guaranteed loans
- Advanced knowledge of loan servicing systems and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
- 5 years' Experience of resolving complex servicing issues and working with auditors or regulators.
- Familiarity with investor reporting requirements and secondary market servicing standards (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, SBA, USDA).
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with compliance, credit, and operations teams to resolve servicing challenges.
