Military Veterans Encouraged to Apply.Job Description:The SharePoint Developer is responsible for the design, development, customization, and support of SharePoint Online solutions. The candidate will work closely with business users to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement features that optimize business processes and collaboration. This role includes developing custom SharePoint components, supporting integrations with external systems, automating processes with PowerShell and Power Platform, and ensuring the performance and maintainability of SharePoint Online environments. The SharePoint Developer will also contribute to roadmap planning, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure the long-term success of the platform.Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • This position requires working onsite in Alexandria, VA, 5 days per week
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years with degree, 7 years without degree
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Online development, including client-side development (SPFx, JavaScript/TypeScript, React).
  • Experience writing SQL queries for data integration and reporting.
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse).
  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration and automation.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and integration approaches with SharePoint.
  • Ability to work independently and develop innovative solutions to complex business needs.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred).
Responsibilities:
  • Meet with business users across the organization to understand business objectives, technical challenges, and data needs, and translate them into SharePoint solutions.
  • Design, develop, and support SharePoint Online sites, site collections, lists, libraries, and custom components.
  • Build and maintain integrations and process flows with external systems.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve or optimize SharePoint usage based on best practices, and present recommendations.
  • Provide recommendations on design, configuration, and testing of SharePoint Online solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical artifacts such as flow diagrams, process diagrams, and solution documentation.
  • Support SharePoint Online integration with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Dataverse and Power Automate workflows.
  • Create and maintain custom scripts (PowerShell, etc.) to automate administrative and development tasks.
  • Assist with sprint planning, release planning, working sessions, and training activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Ensure all solutions are developed in alignment with security and compliance requirements.
